Revisiting and building on the success of the Asian Business Development Network (ABDN) in Yorkshire, a brand acquired by the founders, the Business Power Awards recognises and celebrates local entrepreneurs and independent businesses that are inspirational and unique in their own way, and indeed, in their industry sector.
Ethnic Minority Businesses (EMBs) contribute to around 10% of to the GDP, and play a crucial role in ‘Levelling Up’ prosperity across regions, promoting trade opportunities of ‘Global Britain’ and creating a more cohesive society.
In a report from Aston University, it’s been highlighted that EMBs contribute a staggering £25 billion annually to the UK economy. The report estimates that the contribution of EMBs could increase fourfold to £100 billion if given the right support.
